BOSTON (Reuters) - Scientists have developed nano particles that have
been implanted in cell membranes of the lungs or
immune system to mislead and infect the corona virus.
These manometer-sized
particles are filled with eco-friendly plastic that dissolves automatically
when the outer shell explodes and does no harm to the body.
So far, they have been successfully tested on living human cells
in the laboratory, after which they will be tested in animals and then in
humans.
A recent publication
in the American Chemical Society's research journal "Nano-Letters" details
the study, which was conducted jointly by experts from Boston University and
the University of California, San Diego.
When a guided missile moves towards a fighter jet, it is usually
in pursuit of the heat emitted from its jet engine. The fighter jets emit
a high-speed, hot flame in its opposite direction, called a "decoy,"
to deflect the missile and save itself. Due to the heat of the decoy, the
guided missile is attracted to it and explodes after colliding with the decoy.
This
way the fighter plane survives viruses directly
attack the lungs and respiratory system, they have been implanted in polymer
"nano-tablets" with membranes of lung and immune system cells.
In this way, the corona virus reaches the mimic target and completes the whole process, but does not cause any damage to the real human cells.
When nano-sponge particles were mixed with live human cells in a petri dish to attack them with the corona virus, they easily "misled" the corona virus and easily saved the original cells.
These membranes contain special proteins that are targeted by the corona virus. So it leaves the original cells and clings to the nano-sponge and sticks to its surface to extract its genetic material, which is unable to do anything without reaching the cell.
Experts say that if this method is successful in preventing corona virus in later experiments, it can also be tested in preventing other viruses such as Ebola, dengue and Zika. All you have to do is change the cell membrane around the nano-polymer, and everything else will stay the same.
